Hi, thanks for your question!
It's important that any employee puts a focus on what they want to achieve. In my experience, as long as you have your own goals in mind, leadership will support you in any way they can.
Ways they do this:
-give you production support tickets that align to the areas you want to learn more about or expand your experience with
-offer opportunities for large-scale projects, which is part of all consultant growth
-encourage you to request a mentor (we have a separate program for that)
-not holding you back if you have a desire to try a role in a different area (i.e. Project Management)
-meeting at least biweekly
In the end, you still are responsible for your career and I encourage any employee with a desire to grow to be very clear about their goals and share those with their leader.
