When a new compensation administrator took over, they realized their process wasn’t configured to meet their needs. That’s when they turned to us. We rolled out around 15 iterations of compensation reviews, gathering their feedback through calls, making adjustments, and fine-tuning the process to their satisfaction. Since it was their first time using Workday, we also provided thorough training—showing them how the process could be achieved seamlessly, including all necessary pre-checks and post-checks.

You likely won't be able to step into this role and a new way of life and hit the ground running. My suggestion is to pace yourself. Learn the business and the flow of how things work. You will make mistakes. OWN THEM! You will have difficult conversations. OWN THEM! You will have triumphs that overshadow all. RELISH THEM! Once you have hit your stride. FLY! Take the rest of your team at KOG with you. Learn together. Grow together. Get a mentor early. Reach out and be social as much as you can. Consulting is difficult enough as it is, being 100% remote can add some unexpected rough air to the mix. Know that you are surrounded by like-minded resources that have traversed the same path as you. I would hope that you feel comfortable enough to reach out to me if you find yourself on the other side of the hire date!

I've always wanted to be a Workday Consultant - But, when i joined in an entry level position was very new to Workday. I could not understand a word in it. So, foreign - such that i was recounting my decisions of stepping into Workday side. a lot of errors & escalations. I realized that i should give myself 3 months a 100% effort - if i was unable then i will rethink about my career on the 4th month. For some reason my mind refused to give up - in that 3 months I've spent a lot of time mastering the skill - that's when i realized "Learning is the Key" - Truly post 3rd month i can't believe myself - I've been doing so well. Am Glad i gave myself a Chance and i never turned back again. Not just Professionally - Personally too - Its never too late to - Believe in Your Magic and Give Yourself the Chance to Shine.
