I'm able to manage my workload in my role quite effectively. This current role is very talent focused, which means I'm not doing much outside of those main functions. This is perfect for me as I can focus on the main duties of my role, and ensure a great interviewing and hiring process for my candidates - but also help support the organization by taking on other talent related tasks such as employer branding. I'm a big fan of setting reminders in my calendar and actioning them when I start my day to ensure everything is being done and communicated in a timely manner.

Although Kognitiv has core working hours, we are a fully remote/global organization. There is a lot of trust in each individual to get their work done on time and work as a team. The ability to work flexible hours to manage my day, take time to go on a walk or run an errand, etc - helps me thrive. We don't have a "fire drill" culture here - upper leadership is very reasonable with any expectations and deadlines set. For our consulting roles, we do not have client travel nor expectations of nights and weekends. Most consultants work a full 40 hour work week, giving them a great balance day to day. And no matter the role you are in, if a deadline or workload is unreasonable, management is approachable - you can have that conversation. You will get support to help better prioritize or offload tasks as needed to ensure that the right things are getting done and we're focused on the right tasks.

As consultants, we have core working hours and targets that we must hit. Kognitiv does not micromanage consultants' time as there is a great deal of trust at all levels of the organization. Personally, this means that I am able to go run an errand or get a workout in without feeling like I have to sit at my keyboard from 9-5. We have a culture of helping each other out as needed so if I am every overloaded, I am empowered to work with my colleagues to offload work. We do not want anyone here to feel burnout so the culture is based around spreading the work around so that everyone can have their evenings and weekends to themselves. As with all consulting roles, there may be a week or two in a given year where the workload is higher than average, but that is the exception and not the rule.
