Please tell me about the training when you first joined?

When I first joined Kognitiv as an Associate Business Consultant I had some Workday knowledge but more so from an end user perspective rather than a consulting side. To ensure that myself and all other Associate consultants hired would feel confident in our roles and had the knowledge needed to start working on HCM configuration pieces we were placed in a 4 week training. In this training we learned about all aspects of Kognitiv, our new role, Workday and all main components of Human Capital Management (HCM). Some modules lasted longer than others, but through each new area we were able to complete hands on activities with our classmates, and then we would have homework to practice our new found skills the remainder of the day. After training we took our Kognitiv HCM certification and then we were provided mock tickets so that were could get used to our ticketing system and work on our client communication while of course being able to configure and offer guidance and best practices within the mock ticket. From here we were also introduced to our managers/teams and were able to start shadowing which allowed us to retain more hands on knowledge and confidence for when we took our first ticket on.

Overall, it was a very in depth training with a lot of information being provided so some of it was self paced and I would take time after training to re-review the items discussed that day and reach out to my trainer with any additional questions that came up later on. The great part was knowing that when feedback was provided it was taken under review and then changes were implemented as needed, which I personally had not seen happen with any prior organization that I have worked for. From day one of interviewing I just knew that Kognitiv was where I wanted to grow and broaden my Workday horizons!

I joined Kognitiv having already implemented Workday and several modules so I started as a Business Consultant. I didn't go through the training Kristin B. discussed. Instead, I had the opportunity to enroll in training on modules I didn't have much experience with and of my choice. The training is amazing! Our Product Leads develop and lead the training sessions. They take the time to answer all our questions and really care about our development and understanding of everything Workday. I'm now working in and implementing modules I never expected to have experience in and I'm understanding how it all connects. Kudos to Kognitiv and the Product Leads!
