Company

What do you like about your job and the company?

There has not been one day since I started working at Kognitiv that I have not learned something new about Workday. Every day offers fresh challenges and learning opportunities. One great thing about Kognitiv is that, although consultants have focus areas, we can work on any areas that we want, knowing that we have a wealth of knowledge and experience at our fingertips. I have never worked with a smarter and more knowledgeable group of individuals in my career. The learning opportunities are endless and that provides a very fulfilling career for me. I also love the fact that my Manager and Kognitiv leadership understand my career aspirations, and offer a career path on the individual contributor level knowing not everyone wants to be a manager some day.

Greatest achievements

I'm still fairly new to Kognitiv, but in my first week I took over an Advanced Compensation cycle for a consultant who was departing. I was able to step in and provide seamless support to the client (with the entire company at my disposal for help along the way) and the client had NO idea that it was my first week on the job. From new hire to supporting an Advanced Comp cycle for a client with over 3,000 employees in the merit cycle in just one week!! That's a pretty big achievement.

LinkedIn is the biggest professional networking platform. Many recruiters and talent specialists use LinkedIn to headhunt great talent for their roles and the profiles that get noticed are ones that are well put together. These profiles need to reflect your resume so ensure that there are no discrepancies. If you want your profile to grab the attention of recruiters and talent specialists, then ensure it is detailed. Talk about what you specialize in, what projects you've been working on, and what you're looking to do. This will help us to see if your experience aligns with roles that we are working on. LinkedIn is also a great site to network with professionals in your field, and you should never be shy in reaching out to people from companies you are interested in to see if the work environment aligns with what you are looking for. LinkedIn is a very powerful tool that should be utilized to its fullest!

I've always wanted to be a Workday Consultant - But, when i joined in an entry level position was very new to Workday. I could not understand a word in it. So, foreign - such that i was recounting my decisions of stepping into Workday side. a lot of errors & escalations. I realized that i should give myself 3 months a 100% effort - if i was unable then i will rethink about my career on the 4th month. For some reason my mind refused to give up - in that 3 months I've spent a lot of time mastering the skill - that's when i realized "Learning is the Key" - Truly post 3rd month i can't believe myself - I've been doing so well. Am Glad i gave myself a Chance and i never turned back again. Not just Professionally - Personally too - Its never too late to - Believe in Your Magic and Give Yourself the Chance to Shine.

You can’t be a know-it-all, so my advice is simple: Be a Lifelong Learner. Stay curious, keep exploring, and never be afraid to ask for help. My journey from an MBA in HR to diving into Workday Consulting has taught me that there’s always something new to learn. The key is to stay curious, ask questions, and keep growing because when you’re constantly learning, there’s no limit to what you can achieve!
