I've really enjoyed my experience with flexible working at Kognitiv! My prior career/job for 10 years involved 100% in a shop and on site doing design and fabrication work, so shifting to flexible/remote work was definitely a huge and great change for me. In my previous job I had a lot of extra stresses from feeling like I was missing out with things (school events, dropoff/pickup, child's appointments, etc), which was also adding stress to my personal life.
With my flexible/remote working schedule at Kognitiv I love that I am able to control when/where I'm going to work. I now have the ability to drop off or pick up my children from school or go to a doctor's appointment or even take a longer lunch knowing what's on my plate at work and having the control of when I'm going to do it. If I had a busy weekend, I may hop on a little later on Monday morning, and maybe shorten my lunch if needed. Or I have the ability to hop back on work later in the evening to get ahead on something when my children are in bed. I really enjoy having the freedom to dictate when I'm going to work since life events can change on a daily basis. I still need to be aware of tasks that I'm working on and make sure they are being completed on time, but I really love the trust that is put in us to get our work done even with being a flexible working setup.
