I recommend doing what you can to get involved in any Workday projects, if you haven't had the opportunity yet. Connect with your current organization's Workday team (assuming you're at an organization that currently uses Workday) -- sometimes that team is housed in HR and sometimes, it's in IT-- and see if there are opportunities to shadow others, or be involved in feature enhancement projects. If your current organization doesn't use Workday or doesn't have those opportunities available, you could consider applying for our Associate Business Consultant co-hort here at Kognitiv, as it is not unusual for us to hire individuals from other industries looking to make a career change. Of course, the more you know about Workday and how those projects generally go, the better prepared you'll be, but it is not a requirement!
